Missing The Point.

So, recently I've been thinking about us as Christians.

We don't do a very good job of showing others how different we are through Christ. Seriously.

My friend was telling me how he was talking to one of our friends who doesn't believe in God, and asked him if he had ever considered believing, and he said he had once. But the thing that threw him off was the youth group he had went to. He noticed that most people there who said they were Christians, didn't act like ones. Like they didn't practice
what they preached.

This really frustrated me because it is so true. Most of us Christians
don't live the life that we believe should be lived.

Like Sex before marraige, and living with a partner before marraige, acting differently outside of church than when in church, or just not glorifying God with our actions.

If we acted like we said we would. people like my friend wouldn't look at Christians
 and just see us being hypocrites!

God gave us the ultimate sacrifice. He is such an amazing God,

and He gave His life for us so that we can spend eternity with him.

Living for him isn't a requirement to get into heaven, just faith in him.

But so many times, we miss the point of our faith. Because the whole point of our faith is to Glorify Him, and to live selflessly. How are we showing others how amazing His gift is if we just reject it once we get our

"get out of Hell free card"? we need to live our life for God and

show others how amzing Gods gift is, and that life without God isn't life at all.

If we don't, then were just missing the point!

And whats the point to that?

God has called us to minister to others. We need to lead by example and stop thinking this life is just about Glorifying ourselves.
