Hey guys! Im home safely from Mexico and can I just tell you that I had an incredible time!
The group I was in built a house for a family with 2 little girls (Paloma and Paula),
and a mom and a dad (Paul).
It was such an inredible experience, and I'm glad I was able to go again this year. God really did some amazing things there and I feel like we really impacted the families.
I got really close with one of the little girls Paloma! And it just broke my heart when i went to say good bye and she collapsed on me and started crying into my shoulder!
I couldn't hold it in either though...I cried right along with her!
I was definaitily a hard job to accomplish but we finished 3 houses in 4 days!
I didn't want to leave, but I didn't really want to be left behind in Mexico to fend for myself either!
This trip definitily made me thankful for the things I have. Because in comparison
to the things people have there, I am so blessed and lucky.
I was excited to build the houses for these families and not just give them a house, but a home.
And I had all my friends that I love right along side me building the home.
Together:)
Jeff is the man!
Like I said, I had an amazing time, and am uber glad that I was able to go again
this year! I am also glad that I was able to interact with the family and get to know them a little bit!
We were lucky because Paul, the father, spoke english so he was able to help us quite a bit.
But I was able to use my little spanish knowledge also! whoop whoop:)
Here are some photos of the family:
So that was basically the trip:) I have more pictures on my facebook: http://www.facebook.com/amanda.milo
Thanks to all those who's prayers were with us down in Mexico.
And thanks to all those who donated their time and money towards the trip:)
